The next seven prayers to the Holy Ghost were found in a 1940’ era prayer book given to my wife by her Polish father. I’ve tried to keep them as close to their original form as they are amazing ‘as is.’ 

This one is used to purify our hearts after a trial in our lives or during times of adversity.

Prayer 1 of 7: Purify My Heart

THOU most sweet Holy Spirit true fountain of all grace. 

Who on the holy day of Pentecost did so perfectly purify the hearts of the apostles from all sin, by the fire of the Divine love, that they were prepared to become an ornate dwelling place for Thee; I beseech Thee, that Thou would purify my poor heart through Thy grace, that it may appear quite pure before the eyes of God.
